This apron is for my friend, Nicole...her birthday was back in February...but with my dad's surgery & Royce's departure, she sort of got skipped over! So I just finished this for her this morning. She wasn't sure if she was interested in a whole or half apron, so I made her a reversible whole apron that can be folded down into a half, as well!

My First Quilt Block Swap - MJF
Tonight, while listening to an audiobook of Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Eyre", on Librivox.com, I cut out and put together all my rectangles and squares for my very first group swap on Mary Jane's Farm; a Tall Jar quilt block swap. They ended up a little bit skewed, and not quite exactly the intended finished measurements...so I do still need to square them up, and I don't know what to do about the off-sizing, but overall, I rather like them.

My Second Apron
Okay, so I stayed up way later last night than I should have, designing and cutting out and beginning the putting together part of my second ever apron! I ridiculously sewed the neckline in first! Beginner's mistake I will be sure not to make, again. Especially as I do not like pinning & due to my lapse in thinking, I had to turn in and pin the entire thing! I was about to lose my mind, but thankfully I happened to be at my sister, Jess' house, who is a sewing pro! She saved my apron and my sanity!
This apron was for my SIL, Heidi, who is expecting baby number 2, at the end of June. I wanted it to be able to be worn during and after her pregnancy. I made it smock-like, so she could wipe her hands ANYWHERE! Hhmmm, I didn't make it so she could nurse while wearing it, what an interesting re-design! :) I'll have to figure that one out! The basic design was my creation. The little additions, like the towel loop & potholders were brainstorming from my sister, Jess. I think those little additions really made the apron.

Here it is!
Okay, I've gotten my kids' blog created, so everyone can see what they are up to...now, I'm starting one for myself!
